When i think about reading a book where a person is talking to dead people, i think of the T.V. show called the Dead Zone or whatever it was. It seems like only an incredibly crazed person would do such a thing. Then again, it would be kind of interesting to learn about what goes on in the afterlife. I'm thinking this character could maybe start their own tv show in which they talk to deceased members of the family. Then again, no one ever watches those shows cause we all think they are staged, so whats the point? Anyway, if the oppurtunity to talk to dead people fell into my lap, i think i would have to take it.
Talking to dead people? I believe in most countries that would clarify someone as criminally insane. Here in America I think we call them psychics and put them on the Montel Williams show? I'm not sure I would feel very comfortable around this person if they had something sharp in their possession. On the other hand I think it might be interesting what this person can possibly come up with in the book. It might be fun in a strange mentally disturbed sort of way.
I feel reading a book in which the main character can speak to dead people is interesting, yet unrealistic. I started to read the book and I am having a hard time getting into it. I find myself skipping over paragraphs and even whole pages trying to find something exciting. I hope gets better soon.
Alright, so i just got done reading the second set of pages we had to complete, and i must say that this book has become quite ineteresting. This Finch seems like a cool person once you get to know her. I liked the part in this section where she pretty much murdered the cat by throwing a brick at it. I'm also glad to hear that Marcus has stopped crying and that William has begun to lighten. I also enjoy reading about how she handles the youth that trespass, or vandalize the cemetery. I have no idea of what is to come, but i will look forward to finding out.
My first initial reaction to reading a book about a girl who talks to the dead was, this maybe a weird. But now that we have started reading it, it isn't that bad. Its interesting how someone can have a connection to a different word after being judge her whole life. I'm interested to figure out more to the book. And i hope that she can find a peace with the real world and people around her.
I agree. This novel is assumed to be unappreciated by men, but I find this book quite good. Maybe it's just me maturing, but it's interesting.
